With the design of the IT value chain of Fujitsu Siemens Computers, we harmonize the economic needs of our customers with the environmental requirements of society. Our "Green" concept covers the entire product life cycle to re-use without additional cost to the end user. Meanwhile 98% of a PC  was re-done by re-use in the design of the product. This "Green IT" proves this year the 20th anniversary of the recycling facility in Paderborn and the 15th anniversary of the "Green PC" to celebrate.

Viafrica Foundation supports education in East Africa in the management and use of ICT. Quality and uniformity of the often used, hardware is of great importance for the effective deployment of the equipment. In addition to support during the "second life" of the hardware Viafrica is also active in finding a solution for the e-waste in Africa that ultimately arise. Joost Dam, founder and director of Viafrica gives insight into life in Africa of donated ICT equipment.
