Electronics waste collection can still be better!
Despite tight government legislation from the government and an
increase in the collection of consumer electronics there is still waste electronics in a no man's land with unknown
destination. The outcome was from a market research by consultancy CREM.
Too many ICT products (computers, phones, printers) don't still visit the place where they belong. Or being recycled. Part of the
ICT products are dumped by rogue "brokers" in developing
countries in Asia and Africa. With all the environmental consequences
for the local population. An unwanted and unsustainable situation where
all parties need to take responsibility.
SISO will in cooperation with other companies discuss the situation during the conference "Undesirable use of ICT products".
In cooperation with leading companies, iSiSo wants to lead the Supply
Chain to make it more transparent. The government and industry have to act sustainable. Future RFP's and tenders will have to be
aligned.
SISO wants to share its innovative knowledge around
ICT reuse parts of Manufacturers, System Integrators, Governments and
Business in this seminar. In the past it has been more successful seminars organized
around this theme.
