SiSo takes his social responsibility in every field of activity of the business. The main points here are social and environmental aspects. Thus we explicitly aim for protection of the environment and contribute to ICT development in Third World countries. Permanent development in the broadest sense of the word.
SiSo’s aim for successful enterprise is embedded in a policy that focuses on sound social enterprise, based on the cornerstones quality, innovation and social responsibility. We like to fulfill our promises to our clients, shareholders, co-workers, business relations and the global society as a whole.
Based on the pillars Planet, People and Profit.
SISO's core business (the purchase and sale of used computer equipment and ICT Migration Services) is a more sustainable way of working. Namely, if computers were written by companies it was seen as waste and was also treated in this way. Many of these machines could be well used for various purposes.
The ICT Life Cycle Program ensures that every computer is written professionally for reuse and that a legally Microsoft operating system is embedded in every PC.
The non-working equipment without any commercial value will be disposed or recycled by SISO. The standards and requirements of the Ministry of the Environment (VROM) on the environmental regulations are applied.
A number of long-term unemployed and young people with social disabilities are employed in cooperation with VNO-NCW. This cooperation has resulted in 15 new work places created together with local school. For the future there will be new opportunities sought in collaboration with VNO-NCW.
SISO is a company with profit purposs. But besides these commercial goals Social Responsibility is embedded in our corporate objectives.
We stretched us to the countries where we operate to contribute to our social commitment. In 2004, we have a new policy on social responsibility developed under the name 'SISO Donations Fund.
Every year we approximately donate 10,000 systems to schools and charitable institutions. Both in the Netherlands and Third World countries. This policy aims to deliver better global access for children to ICT training. SISO This suggests a certain percentage of its procured ICT equipment will be available to charities.
